My obsession with animation, interactivity, arts, and technology began when I was a homeschooled kid. I drew animations in the margins of my favorite sci fi books and played any game I could. As a young adult, my passion for technology and art grew, and I began interning for a small, 4-person-tech-startup called Vigilant (now called Illumis/COMPLY). My work supported research and vetting software used by political clients like the 2016 Clinton and Sanders Presidential Campaigns. Delivering results on time, managing workloads, and ensuring end-user functionality was paramount during my time there.
After this experience, my appetite for creating impactful media grew and I opened a small commercial animation business with my partner, Alexandra Steele (Marcel the Shell, Tiny Chef Show, Spongebob). Our business delivered projects for clients like Warner Brothers, Ronnie Coleman (8X Mr. Olympia), Redbarn Dog Food, and animation directors like Valerie Giuili (Family Guy, The Simpsons, Big Mouth).
I wanted to combine my love of traditional media with technology. In 2023, I completed my degree in Interactive Media, and began finishing my BFA in animation. I also entered one of my games in the 2023 IEEE Game Sig, winning third place for gameplay and cinematic storytelling. For this accomplishment, my team and I also received a Special Recognition from the City of Irvine.
